📢 Financial News: Tax Bracket Changes May Boost Your Paycheck!

Good news for 2025! The IRS has adjusted tax brackets, increasing income thresholds by about 2.8%. While this might seem like a small shift, it could mean more money in your pocket.

For married couples filing jointly, the standard deduction rises to $30,000 (up from $29,200 in 2024). Single filers will also see an increase, with a $15,000 deduction (up from $14,600).

These updates affect how much tax is owed on each portion of your income, potentially increasing your take-home pay. Make sure to review your federal and state withholdings, especially if you experience any major life or income changes.

Exciting news in the world of credit reporting! A major change is happening that could positively impact millions of Americans—and potentially make homeownership more accessible for many.

What’s Changing?

✔ The White House has finalized a rule removing medical debt from credit reports.
✔ This means that $49 billion in medical debt will be erased from the credit reports of about 15 million Americans.
✔ Lenders will no longer consider medical debt in lending decisions.

Why Does This Matter?

🏡 More Mortgage Approvals – The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) estimates that this rule will lead to an additional 22,000 mortgage approvals per year.
📈 Higher Credit Scores – If medical debt was holding you or your clients back, expect an average 20-point credit score boost!
💰 Easier Path to Homeownership – With fewer credit obstacles, more borrowers may qualify for better loan terms.

A Step in the Right Direction

This rule builds upon previous changes in 2023, when medical debts under $500 were removed from credit reports by the three major U.S. credit bureaus (Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion).
